Funeral Planned For Family Killed On Kansas Turnpike
Thursday, March 18, 2010
Funeral services for three of the people killed in a wrong-way crash on the Kansas Turnpike have been arranged.
Four of the people involved in the accident were riding in a mini-van, heading to Texas to visit family for spring break. Inside the van, were 39-year-old Kyoung Yeaon Chae, and her three children, 17-year-old twin girls Yuna and Hana Choi, and 9-year-old Seo Won Choi. The only person in the van to survive the crash was Hana, who remains in critical condition at Wesley Medical Center.
The fourth victim, 27-year-old Gregory Davis, caused the crash by driving his SUV the wrong way down the Kansas Turnpike. Authorities have interviewed witnesses about where Davis may have been leading up to the crash and believe alcohol may have been a factor.
The service will be held Friday, March 19 at the First United Methodist Church in the 300 block of N. Broadway in Wichita.
Additionally, a memorial fund has been set up at Hong’s Landscape & Nursery and at Bank of America under the title Eun-Seo Choi Memorial Fund.
