Prepared To Learn About Affiliate Advertising? Here Is How I Bought Began
If you rely on PPC for your income then theres a good chance you have been desperately searching for a new solution a way to grow your revenue. Affiliate marketing is a great way to take your domain monetization to the next-level but sometimes it can be difficult to know how to get started. Ill let you know how I learn and you can use the same approach or develop your own strategy!
When I get involved with something I like to understand the industry more which means reading industry blogs and learning from the experts in the space. Back in 2007 when I started in Domaining I was reading every blog I could findand still I read just about every Domaining blog out there! On top of reading blogs I like to read one or two books written by experts in the field. My own book has helped countless new Domainers get started in the industry and when I got started in Affiliate Marketing there was one book that I used to help me get started.
The Super Affiliate Handbook is written by Rosalind Gardner a legend in the affiliate marketing world. Now this is NOT a sponsored post, instead I honestly think this is a great resource for Domainers that want to learn more about Affiliate Marketing. In the book Rosalind details exactly how she became a super affiliate and provides all the information you need to become successful with affiliate marketing.
People sometimes ask me arent all these eBooks a rip-off? Ive bought tons of eBooks over the years and I dont think a single one has been a waste of money. While some were less useful than others it is the few jewels that you get from each eBook that helps you develop a successful monetization strategy. In the case of The Super Affiliate Handbook I think youll learn hundreds of jewels that will take your domains making a few bucks with PPC and get them to start generating more significant revenue.
If youve read this book yourself please feel free to share your comments. Also please feel free to share other affiliate marketing resources that youve learned from!

Those who know me know that I go on and on about Corporate Underpants. Thats when your org structure shows on your website. My old tried and true example? Remember when Expedia first came out? We knew we wanted to go on a trip or travel somewhere (great Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, opportunities, if SEO had existed back then) but, when we arrived on the site, we just accepted that flights and hotels and cars should be thought of, and booked, separately. Was there a good UX-based reason behind that? I bet a zillion dollars there wasnt. Instead, its far more likely that there were separate destinations for each set of activities because there were separate departments handling each one. Classic Corporate Underpants (or, put another way, PNL = URL.)
