Christmas 1000km Run – Donate With Out Paying
Christmas 1000km run – donate without paying
On
the 10 of December 2010 from London the SEO Expert Sergej Ponomarjov
Latvija Tautai charity organisation leader
and kids-charity.co.uk project
initiator (originally from Latvia) will start the unique Charity activity. Also
in October 2009 Sergej participated in a similar running from Milan to Vatican.
This
December activity will include a symbolic running of nearly 1000 km starting
from London through Nottingham, Sheffield, Darlington, Lauder and end up in
Edinburgh. The planned running time is 15 days (12 hours of running per day approximately)
and it will be finished on the Christmas Eve. The runner will be documenting
the progress online on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
The
aim of the activity is to introduce “Donate without paying” concept which is a new
way of helping people without spending time or money and to attract attention
to the issue of disabled children in Latvia and around the world who are
ignored by governments and social authorities. This run symbolizes that disabled
children cannot start building their lives without special care and support to achieve
their targets successfully.
As
The project initiator Sergej Ponomarjov said;
“I
am young and successful SEO professional who might easily live towards my
personal comfort and pleasure. Although, knowing the problems and antihuman
conditions of disabled children in Latvia where I come from, I find it
unacceptable not to act and attract attention of other people and organisations
that could support this project to improve living and learning conditions of
disabled children. I consider this project towards Latvia as a platform to
begin international awareness and to involve other concerned people to take
part in this and further projects for other countries. I am sure that charity innovative
approach “Donate without paying” will change our world”.
“Latvia
and its capital Riga is recognised as a civilised culturally fulfilled and
European Union mentored country. However, living and education conditions of
disabled children are still way under any civilised standards,” Sergej added.
There
are about 20 000 handicapped kids in Latvia
More
than 80 per cent do not has sufficient medical care
More
than 90 per cent do not has social care
More
than 50 per cent do not has enough food
More
than 20 per cent never been out from their room
More
than 40 per cent do not have any friends
